Data for a scorecard can be retrieved from a multitude of different sources including finance, HR and operational systems, or from external organisations (such as auditors) in convenient formats. Once imported, business rules are applied and data is aggregated/consolidated to all levels of the corporate "hierarchy". Successful scorecards make this data available at all levels in their organisation and this can be achieved using web based tools or commonly available tools such as Microsoft Excel.

Many of our customers who have a Microsoft-driven infrastructure use SSIS to import data into SQL Server databases and output the scorecard to a set of Excel spreadsheets or web-based reporting tool. We can tailor the system to your software and business requirements.

Good scorecard products should provide the ability to drill up and down, view trend data, show graphs of performance, allow sorting/ranking by measure and make it easy for everyone in your business to understand performance in their area.
